Foundation expands support of student success initiatives

California Community College Students Eligible to Win Adobe Software and Cash Prizes in College Seen Photo Contest
August 31, 2012 - Community College students throughout the state will once again have the opportunity to vie for cash and prizes through the Foundation for California Community Colleges’ annual College Seen Photo Contest. The photo competition launches September 4, 2012, and runs through October 31, 2012, and is an opportunity for eligible students to submit their images depicting the Community College experience.

FUSION program receives top honors in national engineering and technology awards
April 4, 2012- The Foundation’s FUSION program is among just 11 projects and individuals nationwide to be honored with a top industry award in the engineering and technology fields. The program was honored earlier this week by Fiatech as part of its 2011 Celebration of Engineering & Technology Innovation (CETI) Awards, which recognize significant achievements in technology research, development and implementation. Foundation announces new directors
Posted January 11, 2012 - The Foundation for California Community Colleges has announced the appointment of three new members to its board of directors. Isabel Barreras, a member of the Board of Trustees of the State Center Community Colleges District; Dan Noell, Executive Director at AT&T and former Chairman of the Board of the Los Rios Community College District Foundation; and James Sargen, a longtime supporter of community colleges and former member of the Foundation’s board, were each appointed to a six-year term on the board after receiving approval from the California Community Colleges Board of Governors earlier this week.
