California Community Colleges Board of Governors Honor Four Faculty Members with 2013 Gerald C. Hayward Awards for Excellence in Education
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – March 4, 2013– Foundation for California Community Colleges President and CEO Keetha Mills joined the California Community Colleges Board of Governors, the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges and other statewide leaders today in honoring the recipients of the 2013 Gerald C. Hayward Awards for Excellence in Education.
Receiving awards were Shasta College counselor Carolyn Borg, Foothill College language arts professor Scott Lankford, Pasadena City College art history professor Sandra Haynes and Riverside City College humanities professor Richard Mahon.
The Foundation is a proud long-time sponsor of the Hayward Awards, which is given to community college faculty members who are selected by their peers for demonstrating the highest level of commitment to their students, college and profession.
