Foundation and College Board announce ACCUPLACER discounted pricing
SACRAMENTO – Jun 30, 2010 – The Foundation for California Community Colleges and the College Board have announced an agreement that will provide discounted pricing on ACCUPLACER® for all California Community Colleges. The ACCUPLACER program has served California institutions for more than two decades, and this agreement provides opportunities to help California institutions reduce costs. Effective June 24, 2010, the price for California Community Colleges will decrease $0.20 from the current state price of $1.75 per test unit to a new price of $1.55 per test unit.
“In these difficult fiscal times, the Foundation is looking for every opportunity to introduce cost savings and additional benefits to our students and campuses through our ability to negotiate with the corporate and not-for-profit sectors on behalf of the entire system,” said Foundation President and CEO Paul Lanning, Ed.D., of the agreement. “Our agreements with Microsoft, Adobe, Office Depot, and now the College Board are evidence of the power of our system as a whole to work with best-of-breed companies at the highest levels to bring significant savings and benefits to our campuses and students.”
ACCUPLACER provides a state-of-the-art platform that is highly effective, comprehensive and responsive, allowing colleges to quickly, accurately and efficiently diagnose, place and retain students. During the last 15 months the ACCUPLACER program has launched a series of new and updated products and services, including:
- i3 – ACCUPLACER’s 3rd generation internet-based testing platform with more than 100 user requested changes
