Foundation President and CEO speaks at the 2011 Inaugural Veterans Summit

SAN DIEGO, Calif.—December 2, 2011—The inaugural Veterans Summit meets annually to discuss opportunities to better understand the needs of student veterans and finds ways to support their successful transition to higher education and civilian careers. California's Community Colleges are the number one destination for California veterans returning to civilian life. Their numbers are expected to continue to grow.

This year, the Foundation's President and CEO, Keetha Mills, spoke about her personal connection to the Veterans Summit. Her father, a veteran of the Vietnam War, was wounded in battle but determined not to let the injury undermine his life.
