Foundation for California Community Colleges wins three national
NCMPR awards for excellence in marketing, communications, and design
ALBUQUERQUE – April 2 – The Foundation for California Community Colleges has been honored with three Paragon Awards from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) in recognition of exemplary marketing, communications, and design efforts. NCMPR is one of the largest affiliates of the American Association of Community Colleges in the United States.

The winning projects were all produced in-house at the Foundation, and include the organization’s website, CollegeBuys rebranding strategy, and
Affinity magazine’s feature story, "Teaching Green."
The Foundation’s work was selected from over 1,700 entries which included prominent two-year colleges and independent institutions from throughout the United States, Canada, and other countries. Representatives of the Foundation—Melissa Conner, Communications Director, Bryan Miller, Creative Director, Angeline Evans, Communications Specialist, and Jeremie Vella, Online Communications Coordinator—accepted the awards on March 16 at the NCMPR national conference in Albuquerque, NM.
The Foundation also presented Design Matters: Best Practices in Design for Websites and Publications, focusing on how to deliver high-quality print and web designs on a limited budget, and led a roundtable on social networking and online communities.
The Foundation won the following awards:
- Gold, Feature Writing: Affinity magazine
- Silver, Brand Experience Implementation: CollegeBuys rebranding
- Bronze, Website: Foundation for California Community Colleges website
