
Jill Scofield is the director of public relations for the Foundation for California Community Colleges. In this role, Scofield is responsible for the Foundation’s media relations activities, as well as outreach and coordination with California Community Colleges, specifically regarding the California Community Colleges Scholarship Endowment. She is responsible for working with colleges to provide tools and resources that help in developing a strong base of philanthropic support for the system, and serving as a representative and ambassador to the California Community Colleges to promote strong partnerships.
Scofield has been in the public relations field for nearly a decade. Prior to joining the Foundation, she served as a public information officer at the City of Sacramento, where she was responsible for overseeing all outreach and media relations activities of a major department. Her prior roles also include serving as the media relations officer for University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, and as a project manager at a Sacramento-based public relations firm. In her role as project manager, Scofield oversaw comprehensive regional public relations and community outreach campaigns for major cities, counties and other government entities throughout the state.
Scofield is a past board member for the Public Relations Society of America, California Capitol Chapter, and is also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from University of the Pacific.
